All my children must play football – Falz

Rapper, actor, and songwriter, Folarin Falana, popularly known as Falz, has said that none of his children will become a lawyer or a musician.

They must all play football irrespective of their gender.

The 26-year-old law graduate made the statement in an Instagram video on Friday in reaction to the world record signing of Brazilian forward, Neymar, by Paris St-Germain.

Falz, who spoke humorously in the video, gave his reasons for his drastic decision, saying there are enough lawyers in the family and also there are no songs that haven’t been sung before.

The son of popular lawyer, Femi Falana, said the only choice his children will have in the matter is on which of the big clubs they want to sign for.

Neymar’s deal smashed the previous record set when Paul Pogba returned to Manchester United from Juventus for £89m in August 2016.

He will earn 45m euros (£40.7m) a year – 865,000 euros (£782,000) a week – before tax from the initial five-year deal, a total outlay of £400m.

“Absolutely delighted” PSG announced on Thursday that “Neymar Jr is now committed to the French capital’s club until June 30, 2022,” after his acrimonious transfer from Barcelona.
