Fire breaks out at Obasanjo’s house

Olusegun Obasanjo

Fire broke out on Wednesday night at the residence of former President Olusegun Obasanjo located at Ita-Eko, Abeokuta, Ogun State capital.

Eyewitnesses said the fire began around 10 pm. It is believed to have been started by power surge.

Ogun State Director of Fire Service, Fatai Adefala, told journalists that the fire was prevented from causing damage to the main building.

Obasanjo used the affected house when he was president before moving to the penthouse within the Presidential Library in Abeokuta.
