In typical Nigerian style, President Muhammadu Buhari waited till the “11th hour” to submit his list of ministerial nominees to the Senate.

Senate President, Bukola Saraki, confirmed late Wednesday that Buhari finally made good his promise to name his cabinet, even if it had to come on the last day of the promised month of September.

The list arrived after the Senate had adjourned for the day, sparking fears that Buhari would not meet the September deadline he set for himself.

The Senate had announced via Twitter that the list had not arrived as at 4pm.

Chief of Staff to the President, Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, and Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to President Muhammadu Buhari on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Senator Ita Enang, eventually brought the list, prompting Saraki to tweet “I can now confirm that I just received #Thelist of Ministerial nominees.”

He also posted pictures of the presentation.
