FIFA, CAF, NFF unite to celebrate Omeruo at 24

Kenneth Omeruo

World football governing body, FIFA, alongside regional body, CAF, and the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have all joined forces to celebrate Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo.

The Chelsea loanee clocked 24 on Tuesday with the three bodies going on Twitter to wish him well.

Omeruo, currently on loan at Kasimpasa, has represented Nigeria at almost all cadres.

His first was at the 2009 U-17 World Cup hosted by Nigeria.

Since then the charismatic defender has featured for the Flying and Super Eagles.

For the senior national team, he has garnered 31 caps after making his debut in 2013.

Though he’s yet to play an official game for the Blues, Omeruo has matured into one of the best defenders on the continent.

As you’d expect, his teammates, friends and fans were not left out of the party.
