The Federal Government has listed four borders for Nigerians fleeing the chaos in Ukraine to Poland following invasion by Russia.

Scores have been killed and thousands displaced since Russia President Vladimir Putin ordered his country’s military to invade Ukraine on Thursday.

The Polish government has said it is expecting around 4 million refugees fleeing the crisis in Ukraine.

Unconfirmed reports say there are more Nigerians students in Ukraine than non-students.

Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) Abike Dabiri-Erewa announced on Saturday four recommended borders between Poland and Ukraine out of eight where Nigerians can go to for help.

The borders are Hrebenne-Rawa Ruska, Korczowa-Krakowiec, Medyka-Szeginie, and Budomierz-Hurszew.

Fleeing Nigerian students are to present any of those locations as their destination address with the Border Controls.

“Nigerian volunteer groups as well as staff of the Nigerian Embassy will be at the borders,” Mrs Dabiri-Erewa assured.
