At least one person has reportedly died after suspected thugs clashed with officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) on Patey Street, Lagos Island on Saturday.
NDLEA spokesman Femi Babafemi said in a message seen by Qed.ng that “We arrested a drug kingpin and seized drugs in the notorious Patey drug den on Lagos Island and they mobilised to attack our men.”
Mr. Babafemi said the agency will issue a statement on the development shortly.
