Former aviation minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has prayed that the son of former minister of health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, be rescued from kidnappers.

Dayo Adewole was kidnapped on Tuesday at about 6 pm at gunpoint on his farm in Iroko, Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State.

Police say that the vehicle allegedly used for the kidnap was recovered in a bush during the chase.

It was suspected that the kidnappers might have changed their vehicle following persistent announcement on radio after the Oniroko of Iroko raised the alarm.

The ex-minister is said to be on his way back to Nigeria from his trip abroad after being informed of the incident.

Mr Fani-Kayode, in a tweet on Wednesday, said his heart went to Prof. Adewole on the kidnap of his son.

“My heart goes out to the former Minister of Health in the Buhari administration, Professor Isaac Adewole, whose son, Dayo, has been kidnapped at gun point on his Ibadan farm.

“My prayers are with him and all the other victims of kidnap in our country,” Fani-Kayode said.
