Former presidential candidate, Oby Ezekwesili, has remembered the words of award-winning writer, Chimamanda Adichie, as British Prime Minister, Theresa May, leaves her position.

Mrs May announced on Friday that she would step down on June 7 after three hellish years that saw her fail to deliver Brexit.

May said she was disappointed after failing to deliver on her flagship policy.

In several tweets on Friday, Ezekwesili hailed May over the battles she faced during her time in office, adding that “on the Legacy of Leaders like Teresa May, we must be instructed by the wise counsel of @ChimamandaReal on the ‘Danger of a single story.’”

The former education minister added: “Hers was an evident case of #LeadershipWithoutEasyAnswers. We can, however, admit on the aggregate that she never slept on the wheel.”
