Ezekwesili appointed chairperson of Soludo transition team

Former presidential candidate Oby Ezekwesili has been appointed chairperson of the transition committee of Anambra State governor-elect, Prof Charles Soludo.

Although there is no official word on the matter, Peoples Gazette reports that a source in Soludo’s camp who was familiar with the matter revealed the development.

The committee, it was also learnt, will be inaugurated on January 20 at the Agulu Lake (Golden Tulip) Hotel, Awka.

Ezekwesili, who is also a former minister of education and that of information, is a native of Anambra.

Soludo was declared winner of Anambra governorship election on November 6, 2021, after a supplementary election was held in Ihiala Local Government Area.

The former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, who was the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) defeated Valentine Ozigbo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Andy Uba of the All Progressives Congress (APC) among others.
