Actress Ebele Okaro has announced that the film On Different Grounds has been selected for screening at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) 2026.
She shared the news on Instagram on Thursday, describing the selection as a major milestone for the project.
Ebele wrote, “We are absolutely thrilled and deeply honored to announce that our film #OnDifferentGrounds has been officially selected for the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF) 2026!

On Different Grounds is a Nollywood romantic comedy drama produced by Nicolette Ndigwe-Kalu under HB&Q Impressions, with distribution handled by Cinemax.
The film follows the story of a divorced billionaire couple who are forced to reunite for their daughter’s wedding, while hidden tensions and family secrets begin to surface. It also explores a cross cultural storyline that blends Nigerian and Indian influences.
The cast includes Ebele Okaro, Nkem Owoh, Bob-Manuel Udokwu, Jennifer Eliogu, Uche Jombo, Uche Montana, Ifeanyi Kalu, and Indian actors Vineet Raina and Nimesh Diliprai.
The movie is part of a growing wave of Nollywood productions exploring international collaboration and wider global storytelling. It was shot in Lagos and features elements of romance, family conflict, humour and cultural exchange.
It is scheduled for nationwide cinema release in Nigeria on June 12.
