Filmmaker Biodun Stephen, known for Breaded Life, Momiwa, Small Talk and Different Strokes, is set to release a new film titled Alechenu in cinemas.
The film features Bimbo Ademoye alongside Mike Ezuruonye, Femi Adebayo, Blessing Obasi-Nze, Adediwura Gold and Wumi Toriola. It is scheduled to premiere in cinemas nationwide from July 3.
Bimbo Ademoye, one of the cast members, shared a post on Instagram on Tuesday promoting the film, writing, “photograph. A birth certificate. Alechenu is produced by Biodun Stephen alongside Tara Ajao and Fewchore Studios. The screenplay is written by Francis Okeke and Biodun Stephen.
The film follows the story of an autistic 13 year-old-boy who leaves his village in Oyo State for Lagos in search of the mother he has never met, carrying only a photograph and a backpack.
