Davido announces 02 Arena concert

Award winning artiste, Davido, has announced that he will be holding his own concert at the O2 Arena in London.

The announcement is coming a few days after he treated his fans in London to a stellar performance at the Wireless Music Festival where he rendered a number of his career spanning hit songs to the joy of the audience.

In a post to Instagram on Monday, Davido asked his followers for their support as he can’t do it without them.

The ‘IF’ singer revealed that the concert will be holding January 27, 2019.

“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, u can move mountains!! London Jan 27th, 2019 we shut down the @theo2london arena!! I can’t do this without y’all Africa let’s go,” he wrote.

Davido is following in the footsteps of fellow music superstar, Wizkid, who held his concert ‘Afrorepublik’ in London O2 Arena.

The ‘Soco’ singer made history at the concert where he sold out 20,000 capacity 02 Arena. Making him the second artiste to do so after American singer, Chris Brown.

Tiwa Savage, Tekno, Mr. Eazi and  Skepta among others performed at the concert.

Davido will be looking to pull off the same if not top the achievement of Wizkid as both artistes strive to be the best at what they do and in the process put Africa’s music on the world map.
