Lagos State Magistrates’ Court sitting in Igbosere on Tuesday ordered the remand of two men in a correctional facility suspected to have killed Olayinka Mamora.

The victim was an aide of a chieftain of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, who is now the state chairman.

Mamora was shot dead at a barber’s shop on September 30, 2015, around 7:30 pm at Oshodi, Lagos.

The suspects, Ayuba Balogun and Evans Adamson, were brought on a remand warrant application dated October 28, 2019.

Prosecutor Morufu Animashaun told the court that three pump-action guns and 10 live cartridges were recovered from the defendants’ hideout in Oshodi and Mowe, Ogun State.

The suspects are being charged with murder and illegal possession of firearms.

Mr Animashaun prayed the court to remand the duo in a correctional centre pending legal advice by the Directorate of Public Prosecutions.
