Comedian-actor Debo Adebayo popularly known as Mr Macaroni has cried out over the death toll from the collapsed Ikoyi building.

The comedian lamented in a Twitter post on Thursday saying that the number of deaths is heartbreaking.

“Death Toll at the Ikoyi building collapse is now 36!! This is so heartbreaking!!! And to think there are still more people in there,” he wrote.

Fellow celebrity Toyin Abraham has also mourned the victims of the collapse.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, Toyin said that reading about the news of the death and injuries sustained during the incident saddens her.

“Hearing the news of the Ikoyi collapsed building made me sad. Reading about the news of death and injuries was saddening. But nothing prepared me for the videos of the family members of the victims I saw. My heart bled. I broke down. How do you tell these people to have hope when the days and time are going by? Four days gone now, some of them don’t know whether to keep hoping or prepare for the worse?” she wrote in parts.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has released the names of the survivors of the collapse who are undergoing treatment at the Lagos Marina Hospital.
