Organisers of the Headies Award have released the names of nominees for the 2020 edition with artistes such as Burna Boy, Tekno, Bella Shmurda making the list.
Burna Boy’s song ‘Wonderful’ was nominated for the Best Recording Of The Year category along side Brymo, Wizkid, Fireboy and Wurld.
For the next rated category Bella Shmurda, Tems, Omah Lay and Oxlade were nominated.
Teckno’s ‘Skeletun’ was nominated for the Best Pop Single category alongside Teni, Joeboy and Mr Eazi, Rema, Davido and Wizkid.
Two new categories were added this year, they include Songwriter of The Year and Best Alternative Album.
Davido, Omah Lay, Burna Boy, Falz, Fireboy DML, Mayorkun, DJ Neptune, Wizkid will be battling for the Viewers Choice award.
Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid, Mayorkun, and Tiwa Savage will battle for the Artiste Of The Year award.
An award of special recognition will be presented to King Sunny Ade for excellence and impact on the entertainment industry.
