Nigerian dancehall singer, Burna Boy, has met with one of his idols, Jamaican reggae musician, Sizzla Kalonji.
The 24-year-old shared a picture of him locking hands with the legend on Sunday and added the caption “Just kicked it with one of my Idols Sizzla Kalonji”.
Sizzla, whose real name is Miguel Orlando Collins, is one of the most commercially and critically successful contemporary reggae artistes and is noted for his high number of releases. As of 2014 he has released over 70 solo albums.
Damini Ogulu, aka Burna Boy, came to prominence in 2012 after the release of his single ‘Like to Party’.
The Rivers native is appreciated because of his unique blend of reggae and dancehall. He has worked with several artistes including AKA, De Les, Wizkid, Davido and Reminisce.
Sizzla may be a reggae idol but he is definitely not his style muse, as the 39-year-old is seen wearing a jacket with a tag on its sleeve in the picture posted by Burna Boy.
