Grammy winner Burna Boy has claimed that his phone was confiscated after he referred to his colleague Davido as a joke.

The musician made the recent comment while firing back at a Davido fan who called him an “ode” for losing four Grammys recently.

Commenting under a post on Burna Boy’s X handle, the fan, who used Davido’s face as his display picture, wrote: “Ode, bottled four Grammys,” to which Burna Boy replied, “The actual joke is in your display pic.”

Burna Boy later deleted his comment after the fan changed his display picture from Davido to the self-acclaimed ‘African Giant.’

Another fan attempted to troll the singer for deleting his comment but Burna Boy explained that he did that because the troll changed his display picture.

The fan wrote, “Burna Boy no fit stand on business? He fold?”

“You nor see say baba don change am put my picture? Na me be joke?” Burna Boy replied.

Despite the singer deleting his comment, Burna Boy continued to receive backlash on social media, with many condemning the comment.

A few hours later, the 31-year-old made another tweet saying that his phone had been seized but he did not mention the person he claimed collected the device.

“Won tun ti gba Phone. Till next time,” he wrote.
