President Muhammadu Buhari has signed into law the N10.5 trillion 2020 budget passed by the National Assembly.

The President, in a tweet on Tuesday, expressed excitement at signing the budget on the day he clocks 77.

“It is my pleasant duty, today, on my 77th birthday, to sign the 2020 Appropriation Bill into law. I’m pleased that the National Assembly has expeditiously passed this bill. Our federal budget is now restored to a January-December implementation cycle,” he said.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by leadership of the National Assembly at the Presidential Villa.

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed; and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, were also witnesses.
