Jennifer Awele, wife of actor Junior Pope, on Thursday marked what would have been his 46th birthday with an emotional tribute on Instagram.

Junior Pope died in April 2024 after a boat accident on the Anam River in Anambra State while returning from a movie shoot titled The Other Side of Life.
The actor, whose full name was Pope Odonwodo, was known for his roles in several Nollywood productions and was married to Jennifer for more than a decade. Their marriage was blessed with three sons.
In April, while marking the first anniversary of his death, Jennifer shared a personal account of how she received the news of the actor’s passing, describing the experience as painful and difficult to process.
