Atiku celebrates ‘Lagbaja at 60’

Lagbaja

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has wished masked musician, Lagbaja, a happy 60th birthday.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Atiku described the multi-instrumentalist as one who has been coronavirus-proof long before now, in allusion to the singer’s costume.

The former presidential hopeful wrote: “60th birthday greetings to ‘omo baba muko muko’, the masked one who was #COVID19-proof long before this season. I wish you many more years in strength and good health.”

Lagbaja, who has kept a low profile for a while, however, said in a text message to Qed.ng publisher, Olumide Iyanda, that the day was not his birthday.

The man behind the mask Bisade Ologunde was born in April and he does not celebrate his birthday publicly.

Some of his most popular songs include ‘Konko Below’, ‘Gra Gra’, ‘Never Far Away’, ‘Suuru Lere’, ‘Simple Yes or No’ and ‘Skentele Skontolo’.
