Asisat Oshoala celebrates 29th birthday with childhood photo

Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala on Monday posted a photo on Instagram from her childhood in celebration of her 29th birthday.

“Alhamdulilah,” the four-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year recipient captioned the photo.

Her teammate Ashleigh Plumptre wrote in the comment section that Oshoala looked the same from her childhood.

“Happy Birthday Zee!! You still look the same,” she wrote.

Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho wrote, “Happy birthday Zeezuu.”

Several celebrities including skit makers Kie Kie and Broda Shaggi, dropped congratulatory messages for her.

Oshoala was born on October 9, 1994.

She and 21 others will face Ethiopia in a Paris 2024 Women’s Olympic Football Tournament qualifying tie later this month, the Nigeria Football Federation announced on Sunday night.

Ethiopia will host the first leg of the second-round tie in Addis Ababa on October 25 with the second leg in Nigeria six days later.

The Super Falcons have missed the last three Olympics after featuring in the Games in 2000, 2004 and 2008.
