Appeal court set to hear Oshiomhole’s case against suspension

The Court of Appeal in Abuja is set to hear the appeal filed by the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole, challenging his suspension by a lower court.

Justice Danlami Senchi of an Abuja High Court had granted an order of interlocutory injunction stopping Oshiomhole from parading himself as the party’s national chair.

The judge gave the order pending the hearing and determination of the suit seeking to give effect to Oshiomhole’s suspension from the party by his ward in Edo State.

Oshiomhole filed an appeal on the court order on four grounds.

The APC has been in crisis after suffering defeats at polls, with some blaming Oshiomhole for the downturn.
