Akeredolu nominates Adefarati’s son, Agagu’s brother, 16 others as commissioner-nominees

Adegboyega, son of a former Governor of Ondo State, late Chief Adebayo Adefarati, and Femi, the younger brother of late Governor Olusegun Agagu, are among the commissioner-nominees whose names were forwarded to the House of Assembly by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on Tuesday.

Other nominees include former Chief Press Secretary to the late Agagu, Yemi Olowolabi; former Speaker of the House of Assembly, Taofiq Abdulsalam; Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akoko Northwest Local Government Area, Rasheed Badmus; former Commissioner for Natural Resources, Prince Solagbade Amodeni; ex- Secretary, State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in Akure North, Saka Yusuf Ogunleye, and Mrs. Omowumi Olatunji-Edet.

Former Daily Independent journalist, Ojogo Donald; former Commissioner for Finance, Wale Akinterinwa; a lecturer at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Prof. Bayonle Ademodi; seasoned banker and hotelier, Otunba Timehin Adelegbe; Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan; Alhaji Olurimisi Ismaila; Lola Fagbemi; Dr. Wahab Adegbenro; Funso Esan, and Kola Olawoye complete the list.

Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Segun Ajiboye, in a statement in Akure, said the names were forwarded to the Assembly in accordance with section 192 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
