Senior Special Assistant to Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, on Community Relations, Adekemi Opatunde, has denied claims of using roadshow to manipulate voters.

The week-long campaign roadshow was organised by the governor’s wife, Florence Ajimobi.

Mrs Opatunde told journalists on Wednesday in Ibadan that the gesture of distributing of food items, among others, was a way of appreciating the people for the support to the Ajimobi-led administration since inception.

“The roadshow is not a vote-buying; rather, we are trying to appreciate the good people of state for their support in the last eight years.

“It also provides us with the opportunity to engage the people and sensitise them on our plans in the next four years,’’ she said.

Opatunde described the governor’s wife as an exceptional and kind woman who has good intention for the people of Oyo.

She also said that Ajimobi’s senatorial ambition would further attract development to the state.
