Nollywood actress, Ngozi Nwosu, on Wednesday celebrated her birthday as she clocked 54.

In a post to Instagram, Ngozi shared a beautiful picture of herself, appreciating God for another year of life.

She captioned the picture, “Singing True love ooo excess love o Thank you Jesus! Happy birthday to me.”

Below are five things you probably don’t know about the Living in Bondage actress.

1. Diagnosed with kidney disease in 2012

Ngozi took ill in 2012, which affected her acting career. Photos of a frail-looking Ngozi appeared online which made fans suggest she was HIV positive. It was later confirmed that the actress had kidney disease.

2. Got funds from the government

She got N4.5 million from the Lagos State Government and was flown to the United Kingdom for treatment.

3. Guest contestant at Who Wants to be a Millionaire

Ngozi was a guest contestant on the popular TV game show, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, in 2012. It was her first public outing after she took ill. She was in company with two other persons playing to raise funds for her medical treatment.

4. Best known for role in Fuji House of Commotion

Ngozi is known for playing Peace in the popular TV series, Fuji House of Commotion created by the late Amaka Igwe. Her character was the third wife of Chief Fuji.

5. Starred in Nigeria’s first animated movie

She played Ene in Nigerian animation film Sade. Her character is a woman who didn’t utilise what she has until she lost it. According to her, everyone can identify with the film because of its comedic tone.
