Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State has announced his defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He made the announcement in a Twitter message on Tuesday afternoon.
I have consulted widely especially with the people of sokoto and they have confidently assured me of my next political move. I hereby defect officially to the @OfficialPDPNig

His defection to the PDP comes after those of Senate President Bukola Saraki, Governors Abdulfatah Ahmed and Samuel Ortom of Kwara and Benue states respectively, APC spokesman, Bolaji Abdullahi, and several members of the National Assembly.
