Zenith Bank

Zenith Bank has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting children through programmes focused on education, financial literacy, healthcare, digital inclusion and social protection.

In a statement issued to mark Children’s Day, the bank said it had continued to invest in initiatives to equip children and young people with skills and opportunities for the future.

Zenith Bank said it has partnered with Kiddies Corner on Inspiration 92.3FM Lagos for more than three years, sponsoring programmes that combine spelling competitions with financial literacy education for children.

The bank said the partnership was highlighted during the Inspiration FM Children’s Day Carnival held on May 23, 2026, where more than 1,000 children and parents attended activities including games, skits and presentations for winners of the Zenith Children’s Account initiative.

According to the statement, the bank also organises a quarterly Zenith Financial Literacy Week in schools across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, where students are taught savings, budgeting and investment basics.

It added that its financial literacy programme under the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Global Money Week reached 3,622 students across 22 local government areas in 2025, with 137 employees participating as volunteer educators.

Zenith Bank said it has also supported education through the donation of ICT centres, computer systems, libraries and renovated school facilities in different parts of the country.

The bank listed beneficiaries to include Bamaina Academy in Dutse, Jigawa State, Ojota Secondary School and Victoria Island Secondary School in Lagos, as well as Hugallawa Primary School in Jigawa State.

It also disclosed that it donated N1 million to Louisville Girls High School, Ijebu Itele, supported infrastructure upgrades at Maryland Comprehensive Secondary School and established a N1 million scholarship endowment for St. Francis Catholic Secondary School.

According to the statement, the bank has also partnered with the North East Children’s Fund to support education in communities affected by conflict.

Zenith Bank said its Primary Healthcare Centre Initiative across the country also provides education for parents on early childhood savings during health visits.

The bank added that its “PAD A QUEEN” initiative reached 5,000 girls in 10 schools with sanitary pads, hygiene kits and menstrual health education.

It also highlighted support for vulnerable children through donations to Bethesda Home and School for the Blind in Lagos and partnership with Bosco Child Protection Centre during the 2026 International Day for Street Children.

Group managing director and chief executive officer Adaora Umeoji said the bank remained committed to investing in children.

“At Zenith Bank, we are deliberate about initiatives that elevate children because they are not just our future, they are our present responsibility. As Whitney Houston so poignantly sang, ‘I believe the children are the future, teach them well and let them lead the way.’ That is the philosophy driving our investments in education, financial literacy, health, and digital inclusion. From Kiddies Corner to ICT centres, from PHCs to orphanages, we are teaching them well, equipping them early, and giving them the tools to lead. Zenith Bank renews its commitment to every Nigerian child, to nurture their dreams, protect their dignity, and secure their tomorrow,” she said.

The bank also noted that its annual youth parade, which has been held for 19 years, remains one of its corporate social responsibility initiatives aimed at encouraging leadership, teamwork and confidence among young Nigerians.
