Yul Edochie’s first wife reacts as Georgina Onuoha tackles him over polygamy

May Yul-Edochie, the first wife of actor Yul Edochie, has shown her appreciation to actress Georgina Onuoha for tackling him over his justification for marrying a second wife.

Yul Edochie in an Instagram post on Thursday bragged about his first wife bagging her first endorsement deal after the marriage saga.

The 40-year-old added that polygamy is not a crime and some of the ‘great men’ mentioned in the bible had more than one wife.

Reacting to the actor’s statement moments later, Georgina Onuoha pointed out that although marrying a second wife is not a crime in the African culture, he went about it the wrong way, committed adultery and disrespected his first wife.

“It’s one thing to impregnate another woman ( adultery ) while you are still married without discussing with your wife your desire to marry a second wife, which our traditions demand. Since you are quoting our traditions on polygamy, have you forgotten there are rules for such engagements? Most of us have parents who were born into polygamy. Who will tell you that their mothers brought the new wife home for their husbands, which is a sign of her giving her blessings to her husband. I bet you know that is our culture and traditions. Taking a second wife because you impregnated her while still married is not noble; it is called adultery, and God punished most great men in the Bible you are quoting for such acts,” she said in parts.

In another post, the 41-year-old said: “I prefer to be true to myself, even at the hazard of incurring the ridicule of others, rather than to be false and incur my own abhorrence. Living with integrity means: Not settling for less than what you know you deserve in your relationships.

“Asking for what you want and need from others. Speaking your truth, even though it might create conflict or tension. Behaving in ways that are in harmony with your values. Making choices based on what you believe and not what others believe.”

Reacting under the comment section of the post, May Yul-Edochie showed her appreciation by posting love emojis.
