Lagos socialite Pearl Ogbulu aka Erelu Okin has become the talk of the town after sharing petrol as souvenirs at her installation ceremony in Lagos.

A video of the incident has since caught the attention of Lagosians and the state government which is now investigating it.

The event, which was held on Friday, March 4, took place at Havillah Event Place in Oniru, Lagos at her installation as Erelu Okin by the Olu of Orile Kemta, Oba Adetokunbo Tejuosho.

According to reports, Ogbulu is a petrochemical engineer-turned-fashion stylist. She is quite close to several monarchs.

While souvenirs are commonplace in Lagos parties, the choice of highly inflammable substance like petrol caused outrage from the general public.

In the video, Fuji musician Sulaimon Alao Adekunle, popularly known as KS1 Malaika, expressed surprise when he noticed the choice of souvenir at the ceremony.

“Where is my own fuel? I initially thought it was oil, because it’s common to see that in parties,” the singer sang in Yoruba.
