Socialite Erelu Okin dumps APC for PDP after bagging jail term for sharing petrol as party souvenir

Socialite Chidinma Ogbulu aka Erelu Okin has dumped the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) following her conviction for sharing petrol as party souvenir.

A Lagos State Special Offences (Mobile) Court sitting at Oshodi on Friday sentenced Erelu Okin to two years and three months in prison for distributing petrol as souvenir during her chieftaincy ceremony early March.

Following her conviction, the socialite took to Instagram to share photos of her meeting with presidential aspirant Dele Momodu at the Abuja airport en route Lagos.

Erelu Okin disclosed in her post that she would be pitching her tent with the PDP which she described by the party’s “umbrella” logo after being “swept” away by the “broom” the logo of the governing party, the APC.

“Taking from the recent chaos of me giving my friends and family who were stuck, petrol to go home and being invited to various parastatals for interviews which I went personally without being ARRESTED, AS THE BROOM SWEPT ME AWAY, I HAVE NOW RAN UNDER THE UMBRELLA!” She said.

The socialite added, “2023 is here! A new revolution has come! Get your PVC now! Let’s not give pharaoh another chance in our state. INCOMING PRESIDENT INSHA ALLAH, IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME! This is my new movement! I will use everything in my power to push it! @delemomoduovation.”

Mr Momodu thanked her for her “generous words”.

“I’m sorry about your recent crisis and to know that you’re truly remorseful filled me with more respect for you. None of us is above mistake. Pls, keep strong and continue your charitable works. God bless you mightily,” he wrote in the comment section.
