Veteran actor Peter Fatomilola celebrates 55 years on stage

Veteran actor Peter Fatomilola has celebrated 55 years in the entertainment industry.

The event was held over the weekend at the Oduduwa Hall, Obafemi Awolowo University Ile Ife.

Photos and videos from the celebration were uploaded on his official Facebook page on Sunday.

The event which he tagged ‘celebrate me when I am alive’ was attended by celebrities and friends of the actor including actress Toyin Adegbola who posted a video of herself dancing with the celebrant on Instagram on Monday.

Toyin, better known as Toyin Tomato, also posted photos from the 55-year on-stage celebration.

Captioning the post, she wrote: “I was there during the celebration of The Wizard of Ife @peterfatomilola 55th years on stage at the Oduduwa Hall, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife. On the 22nd of October 2022. Thank you for the award sir.”

Peter Fatomilola was also gifted an art portrait by a young artist named Morenikeji Joshua.

The 76-year-old was born in Ifisin-Ekiti in the Ido-Osi Local Government area of Ekiti State. In 1967, he joined the Olokun Theatre group under the tutelage of the late Professor Ola Rotimi, a renowned playwright at the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University. He is also a member of the academic staff of Obafemi Awolowo University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts in 1978.

Known for his priestly roles, Peter has been featured in movies and TV shows like Sango, Sawaroide, Rise of the Saints, King Invincible, Super Story and Papa Ajasco.
