Tope Alabi celebrates ‘brother’ Nathaniel Bassey on 42nd birthday

Gospel singer Tope Alabi on Thursday celebrated a fellow singer Nathaniel Bassey on his 42nd birthday.

In an Instagram post, the 49-year-old sent birthday wishes to the celebrant, praying for more grace.

She wrote: “Happy birthday MOG @nathanielblow I celebrate you. More grace my brother.”

Sammie Okposo, Freke Umoh, Onos Ariyo and fans joined to celebrate Nathaniel Bassey on his special day.

In the mood of celebration, Nathaniel Bassey shared a picture of himself praising and worshipping God.

 “Baba, the boy you help has come to worship you. Thank you my Father in heaven. I am truly grateful,” he wrote.

The Akwa Ibom State-born singer started his musical career in the church where he joined the Rhodes Orchestra and he played the trumpet with the group for two years.

He was only a trumpeter until he composed a song during a visit to Stella Obasanjo the late wife of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Nathaniel features prominently in the annual Christian musical gathering in Lagos ‘The Experience’.

The ‘Onise Iyanu’ singer is the brain behind the Hallelujah Challenge where he worships God online for an hour from midnight to 1 am.
