National leader of the All Progressives Congress Bola Tinubu on Saturday missed his step, crashing between two chairs on arrival at the 11th Arewa House lecture in Kaduna.

He was, however, quickly supported by his aides and nearby guests.

Tinubu, who turns 69 on March 29, was the chairman of the lecture held in honour of the late premier of northern region Ahmadu Bello.

Speaking on the reduction of cost of governance in northern Nigeria in post-COVID-19 era, Tinubu said though Nigeria has exited recession, the country’s economy remained weak.

He also warned against wasteful spending among government officials, saying government must spend money to yield economic returns for the benefit of the masses.
