All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Bola Tinubu, has commiserated with Governor Abiola Ajimobi over the death of the Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Michael Adeyemo.

He also mourned with Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal over the demise of his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Imam Imam.

Adeyemo died last Friday after a heart attack. He was 47 years old.

Imam died on the same day at age 40.

Tinubu said in his letter to Governor Ajimobi: “I was shocked and saddened to learn of the death of the Speaker of Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Michael Adeyemo.

“For a young man with such a promising career to be so plucked by death leaves a sour taste in the mouth. But who are we to question God?

“Please accept my deepest sympathy and condolences. I also extend, through you, my condolences to the family left behind by the deceased, to his colleagues in the state assembly and to the government and people of Oyo State.

“I pray that God Almighty grant repose of his soul and grant his family the strength to bear this loss.”

In the letter to Governor Tambuwal, the APC national leader said: “Please accept my deepest sympathy and condolences over the death of your Special Adviser, Media, Malam Imam Dalhatu Imam.

“His death was a loss not only to you, the government and people of Sokoto State and Taraba, his home-state, but a loss to all of us.

“I knew the deceased since his time at THISDAY as Political Editor, through when you were Speaker of the House of Representatives and he your Special Adviser.

“He was deeply committed to his work and to the journalism profession. His death is a loss also to that profession.

“I wish I could say something that might erase the sadness and loss but words fail us at such times. All I can say is that you take heart. I pray that Almighty Allah grants his wives and children the strength to carry through this moment.

“I also pray that Allah grants him Aljanna Fridaus”.
