British star, Andy Murray, is now number two in the world rankings for the first time since 2013 following his win in the Rogers Cup. The two-time Grand Slam champion has risen above Roger Federer to second.

The Scots broke an eight-match-spell cast on him by Novak Djokovic to win his 11th Master title, the 35th of his career on Sunday night in Montreal.

After about three hours of tennis action, the British top seed defeated the Serb star, who remains number one, 6-4, 4-6, 6-3 to earn his fourth title of the year.
