UAC Foods Limited has appointed Temitope Omodele as its managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO).
The company announced the appointment in a statement and on its LinkedIn page, saying it marks a new phase in its operations.
Omodele succeeds to the role after serving as chief financial officer of UAC Foods, where she oversaw the company’s finance function.
Before joining the UAC group in September 2020, she worked at KPMG Professional Services, rising from senior associate to senior manager.
During her time at KPMG, she provided audit and assurance services across sectors including financial services, consumer goods, power and energy.
She was also seconded to the Department of Professional Practice at KPMG South Africa before returning to Nigeria, where she helped establish the Department of Professional Practice at KPMG Nigeria.
After joining UAC, Omodele served as technical accounting and reporting lead before becoming senior vice president of finance, overseeing finance operations and group reporting for UAC of Nigeria Plc. She later became chief financial officer of UAC Foods.
The company said she brings more than 16 years of experience in audit and assurance, accounting, group reporting, budgeting, business planning, corporate finance and finance operations.
Omodele is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). She holds a degree in accounting from the University of Lagos and an MBA from Lagos Business School.
She also completed executive education programmes in data analytics and emerging technologies at Arizona State University.
In addition to her new role, she serves as a non-executive director on the board of Livestock Feeds Plc.
UAC Foods said Temitope Omodele will lead the company as it continues its focus on growth, innovation and value creation.
A subsidiary of UAC of Nigeria Plc, UAC Foods is known for brands including Gala Sausage Roll, Supreme Ice Cream, Swan Natural Spring Water and Funtime Chips.
