Burial arrangements have been announced for sports journalist and actor Temisan Okomi.
Details of the funeral were shared on social media on Thursday.
Fellow sports analyst and journalist Godwin Enakhena posted a funeral notice, stating that a night of tributes will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at BON Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, at 5:00 PM.
The lying in state is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, 2026, at No 4 Feadalex Crescent, Gemade Estate, Iyana Ipaja, at 7:30 AM. This will be followed by a funeral mass on the same day at St. Dominic Catholic Church by 10:00 AM.
Interment will take place immediately after at Omega Private Cemetery and is restricted to family members.
Okomi featured in the television series Tinsel and worked with Lagos Television and HiTV before joining Classic FM 97.3, where he presented sports programmes.
He died in last week after a brief illness. Since news of his death emerged, colleagues in the media and sports community have paid tribute to him, describing him as dedicated to his craft and supportive of younger professionals.
