Stonebwoy apologises for pulling gun during clash with Shatta Wale at music award ceremony

Ghanaian dancehall musician, Stonebwoy, has apologised for pulling out a gun during a clash with colleague, Shatta Wale, at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

The 31-year-old singer made the apology in a statement released via Instagram on Sunday.

In his statement, he apologised for his behavior and sad that an attack on his wife at a concert had made him apprehensive.

He however apologsed to the show producers and urged all Ghanaians to embrace peace.

Stonebwoy had pulled out a gun out on the stage of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) in the early hours of Sunday.

The 2019edition was the 20th installation of the awards ceremony and Stonebwoy had been crowned the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards reggae dancehall artiste of the year.

While giving his acceptance speech, he called out colleague, Shatta Wale, bragging about winning the award for the fifth year in a row.

The taunting got to Shatta Wale who made his way to the podium with members of his entourage to confront Stonebwoy.

They were however stopped and in a video circulating online, Stonebwoy is seen with a gun on stage while he is held back by security operatives.
