Rapper Shatta Wale has criticised his fellow Ghanaian musicians who support Nigerian artistes, challenging them to speak up.

The rapper said this in a series of Twitter post on Thursday.

“Next year I’m posting any Ghana artiste flyer I see online, I don’t care if it’s my show or not. I think most of you don’t get what am doing but when I finish and you see the end results, don’t say thank you to me, Say thank you God.”

In another post, he wrote: “Any Ghanaian artiste who thinks I’m fighting Nigerian artiste will never hit again. The fight is for you. This is business not Yo yo … stop that grasshopper mentality and speak proper. You are killing you inner spirit.”

Shatta Wale recently criticised Nigerian artistes, claiming they owe their fame to support from their Ghanaian counterparts.

This came after Nigerian entertainers reacted to his earlier comment about selling out a Ghanaian stadium without the help of Nigerian artistes.

In response to their reaction, Shatta Wale tweeted on Monday, December 27, “As for Nigerians, they think they can always say what they want to say. F**k your talks. Y’all who think I spoke the truth, I don’t even remember you guys promoting Ghanaian artiste in your country. Until you guys will realise your artiste ‘blew’ in Ghana to say thank you.

“Bring it on and your artiste won’t get that hype they get from Ghana. I can make that stop. Don’t dare me.

“It’s the truth, your artistes come here for numbers before the world can recognise them. Appreciate Ghana supporting your artiste and stop this foolishness.”
