Gospel singer Osinachi Kalu-Egbu, popularly known as Sinach and her husband Pastor Joseph Egbu shared a passionate kiss during her surprise 53rd birthday celebration on Tuesday.
Egbu had pulled off the surprise party, hosting friends and prominent personalities such as Mary Akpobome, Ayo Vincent, Ada Ehi, Buchi Atuonwu and the President of Benson Idahosa University, Bishop F.E.B. Idahosa.
Gospel artistes Ada and Buchi were among those who ministered during the celebration.
In a heartfelt message to his wife, Pastor Egbu said, “I want to wish my wife a loving, prosperous, beautiful, special, holyghost filled birthday. Babe I wanna let you know that I love you so much. Thank you for being a blessing to me, thank you for who you are and loving the holy spirit.”
Sinach, moved by the surprise, took the stage along with her husband to express gratitude to her guests and Mr Egbu.
“Thank you so much. I want to thank my husband specially, thank you sweetheart, honey, lover, my king, thank you so much, I love you so much,” she said, before embracing him and sealing the moment with a kiss, to loud applause from guests.
The ‘Way Maker’ singer celebrated her birthday last year with another grand party, which featured orchestral performances, an interactive session and a special appearance by the celebrant herself.
Notable guests at that event included SL Kemi Balogun; Queen Ronke Ademiluyi-Ogunwusi, Olori of the Ife Kingdom and founder of African Fashion Week; Dr. Susan Fajana-Thomas OBE; and Nero Ughwujabo, a former adviser to Prime Minister Theresa May and director of Diversity at King Charles’s charity, the Prince’s Trust.
Sinach and Pastor Joseph Egbu got married in 2014.
