Simi returns favour, features only Adekunle Gold on upcoming album

Simi

X3M Music artiste, Simi, is bent on milking her much talked about love affair with fellow singer, Adekunle Gold, for all it is worth.

This became obvious once again on Friday after she released the official tracklist of her sophomore album titled Simisola.

Unsurprisingly, the only guest artiste on the album is Adekunle Gold.

The former YBNL singer is featured in the track ‘Take Me Back’.

Qed.ng recalls that Simi was the only guest artiste on Adekunle Gold’s debut album, Gold, released in 2016, featuring in the song, ‘No Forget’.

Simisola consists of 12 new tracks.

Three of her previously released hit singles, ‘Love Don’t care’, ‘Jamb Question’, and ‘Tiff’, are included as bonus tracks.

Seyi Keyz, Sess and VTek produced a song each while the others were by Oscar.

Known for her sound engineering skills, Simi mixed all the songs herself while live instrumentation was done by Fiokee, Alaba, Dami and Ayo.

The album art which was shot by veteran photographer, Obi Somto, showed the singer on a bed, smiling, with her barefoot in the air.

Simi released her debut album, Ogaju, in 2006 and an EP titled Restless in 2014.

Simisola, which is the 29-year-old’s first album since she was signed to Steve Babaeko’s X3M Music, will be released on September 8.
