Simi apologises for glitches at Lagos concert

X3M Music act Simi has apologised for the hitches recorded at her concert in Lagos on Sunday.

The 30-year-old recorded her apology in a video tagged “I’m sorry” and posted to Instagram on Monday.

Simi said that the venue for her concert had been used for an event the day before, rendering her team unable to set up for her event on time.

She explained that she is “obsessed” about giving her fans the best music experience and didn’t want to deliver anything less than that.

Simi Live was scheduled to kick off at 6 pm at Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island.

The ‘Joromi’ singer, however, did not take to the stage until 10:30 pm.

Despite rendering an unreserved apology on stage, fans still criticised her for failing to keep to time, with many branding her as “unprofessional.”

Adekunle Gold, whose romance with Simi is one of the worst kept secrets in the Nigerian entertainment industry, had earlier taken to Instagram on Monday to defend the songstress and thanked her for giving him the opportunity to share the stage with her.

Simi Live in Lagos paraded musicians like Adekunle Gold, Falz, Zoro, Isaac Geralds and Nonso Amadi.
