Seventh person dies of coronavirus in Lagos

Lagos State Ministry of Health has announced the seventh coronavirus-related death in the state.

The ministry confirmed this on Wednesday on Twitter while giving an update on the deadly disease.

“25 new #COVID19 cases confirmed, bringing total confirmed cases in Lagos to 217,” the ministry wrote.

“8 more persons; 2 females & 6 males; including one foreign national from Croatia were discharged. Total discharged now 69.

“One #COVID19 death was recorded. This brings to 7, the number of #COVID19 related deaths in Lagos State.”

Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi, provided more information on the victim.

“Lagos recorded another #COVID19 death; a 63-year-old male Nigerian who had no history of travel or contact with any confirmed case. Total #COVID19 related deaths now stand at 7,” he wrote on Twitter.
