Sanwo-Olu receives Niteshift Coliseum’s GHR honour

Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, was on Sunday night bestowed with the Niteshift Coliseum Grand House Reception (GHR) honour.

Speaking at the event held in Ikeja, Mr Sanwo-Olu reiterated his promise to allow private sector participation in the provision of infrastructure and other programmes that will make life better for people in the state.

Addressing the distinguished audience comprising captains of industry, policymakers, key entertainment stakeholders and Lagosians from all walks of life, the Lagos APC standard bearer said his administration will involve more of the private sector in achieving their vision of taking Lagos to a greater height.

Sanwo-Olu, who highlighted his significant exposure to diverse assignments and responsibilities in the governance process, leading to his various appointments as three-time commissioner and immediate managing director of LSPDC among others, gave insight into is planned articulated solutions to traffic gridlocks around Lagos, and on housing, tourism, health and infrastructure.

He explained how his T.H.E.M.E agenda will bring new jobs and wealth creation opportunities to benefit entire Lagosians with no one left behind.

According to the three time commissioner in Lagos State, T.H.E.ME. stands for Traffic management and Transportation, Health and Environment, Education and Technology, Making Lagos a 21st Century Economy as well as Entertainment and tourism.

Speaking earlier, Guv’nor of Niteshift Coliseum, Ken Calebs-Olumese, appreciated the APC candidate and his running mate, Obafemi Hamzat, for their sincere desire to serve the people of Lagos.

He wished them all the very best in the forthcoming election, while hoping to host him again if elected governor of Lagos State.

The reception for Sanwo-Olu comes four years after a similar honour was extended to his main rival in the March 2 governorship election, Jimi Agbaje, of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Mr Agbaje contested the 2015 governorship election against incumbent Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of the APC.

Mr Ambode was also hosted to a GHR at The Niteshift Coliseum in the run-up to the 2015 election.
