Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday presented cars to 13 teachers at the 2020 Lagos State Teachers Merit Award held at the Lagos House, Ikeja.
The recipients leapt for joy when called out by the governor to receive their cars.
Mr Sanwo-Olu’s chief press secretary Gboyega Akosile tweeted a clip from the ceremony.
Sanwo-Olu recently presented a three-bedroom apartment each to the principal and teacher of the year.
The principal of the year is Ikuseyi Dumi of Government Union College while the teacher of the year is Iyabo Elusakin of Oriwu College.
