Convener of #RevolutionNow movement and publisher of Sahara Reporters Omoyele Sowore has called on Nigerians in the United Kingdom to occupy the London hospital where President Muhammadu Buhari plans to have a medical check-up.

Buhari departed the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja on Tuesday for medical examination in London.

In a tweet, Mr Sowore described the trip to London as a waste of resources, adding that the president should do his check-up in the “world-class” hospital he built since coming to power.

“Nigerians in UK must #occupy the hospital where sickly @mbuhari is wasting Nigeria’s resources and the Nigeria embassy as well as Abuja House in London, let Buhari return home and do a medical check in the ‘world-class’ hospital he built since coming to power. #Buharimustgo!” he tweeted.

This is Buhari’s first medical trip overseas since the coronavirus pandemic struck last year.
