Sanusi calls for peace after deadly APC, PDP clash in Kano

Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has called for peace following the recent deadly clash between supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

About 20 vehicles were burnt while two people died on Thursday when APC and PDP supporters clashed in Tofa village, Bebeji local government area of the state.

While addressing newsmen at his Palace in Kano on Friday, Sanusi described the frequent clashes as unfortunate and worrisome.

He appealed to party supporters and politicians in the state to shun politics of violence and thuggery to ensure peaceful conduct of elections.

Sanusi also called on security agencies in the state to intensify efforts in fishing out the culprits behind the sad incident and ensure that all those found guilty faced the full wrath of the law.
