Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC) Chairman, Prof Itse Sagay, has come under attack over his comments on the National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) certificate scandal involving the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun.
Sagay had rejected calls for Mrs Adeosun’s resignation while speaking at the workshop on the United Kingdom Unexplained Wealth Order (UWO), organised by PACAC, United Kingdom (UK) National Crime Agency and the Department for International Development (DfID) on Thursday in Abuja.
“Who cares about youth service? I don’t bloody care whether she did youth service or not. It’s irrelevant as far as I am concerned,” the professor of law said.
Unimpressed, Nigerians have taken to Twitter to vent their anger and disappointment on the comments of the Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN).

Prof Itse Sagay should stop embarrassing the law profession. It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak & remove all doubt (Lincoln). A crime is a crime regardless of who is involved. Kemi Adeosun should either open up on her certificate scandal or resign.
