Reality TV star Esther Chioma Ndubueze, known as Chomzy, has come under criticism on social media over her conduct at the National Youth Service Corps orientation camp.

The former Big Brother Naija housemate shared a video showing her at the camp dressed in the official white NYSC outfit but seated inside a car while other corps members participated in parade drills.

She captioned the video: “better late than never”. In another post, she appeared behind fellow corps members and wrote: “parade or not…NYSC things”.

The posts sparked reactions online, with many questioning her decision to remain in the car instead of joining the parade.

Some users criticised her actions and suggested it showed disregard for the scheme.

Others raised concerns about compliance with NYSC rules.

However, some commenters defended her, pointing to her personal circumstances.

Chomzy, whose real name is Esther Chioma Ndubueze, rose to fame on the 2022 edition of Big Brother Naija. She is part of the 2026 Batch A Stream II corps members currently undergoing orientation.

The NYSC orientation camp is a compulsory three week programme for Nigerian graduates below 30, designed to promote national unity and discipline. Parade drills and other paramilitary activities form part of the routine during the exercise.
