Primeboy turns self in for questioning over Mohbad’s death

Musician Primeboy has turned himself in after being declared wanted by the police for failing to honour invitation for questioning on the death of his friend Oladimeji Aloba aka Mohbad.

Spokesman of the Lagos State Police Command Benjamin Hundeyin announced in an update on Thursday via X that Primeboy had been taken into custody.

Hundeyin assured that anyone found culpable in Mohbad’s death would be brought to justice.

“Following his being declared wanted, Owodunni Ibrahim Oluwatosin aka Primeboy has turned himself in. He has, immediately, been taken into custody for interrogation and other necessary actions.

“The Lagos State Police Command once again assures family, friends, fans of Mohbad and the general public that no stone will be left unturned in ensuring a most diligent investigation. The Command equally assures that all persons found culpable in the death of Mr Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad will definitely be brought to justice,” he said.

Mohbad died on Tuesday, September 12, leaving behind his partner, son and parents.

Last month, the police exhumed his corpse for an autopsy to investigate his death.

The police have also taken socialite Sam Larry and musician Naira Marley who have been at the centre of the controversy regarding the 27-year-old’s death into custody for questioning.

On Wednesday, a Magistrate Court in Yaba gave an order for the duo to be remanded in police custody for 21 days.
